A Little Batty

Hello!  Shellye along today to bring this batty Halloween gift tag
that's super quick and easy to make:

For the base, I used Authentique Paper's Thrilling Collection Bundle that I punched
with the Scallop Circle and Circle Punches.  I layered the two together with foam.

For the bat: using the Vintage Label Punch, punch two of the label shapes and one of
the oval shapes from black cardstock.  Take one of the label shapes and cut in half,
rounding just a little as  you cut.  Match up the other label shape and cut around
the first one so that they match.  I chalked around the shapes with white just to give
some more depth.  Bend the 'wings' a bit and then attach to the back of the oval shape
as shown.  The ears were created with one of the blooms from the Petite Petals Punch;
just attach to the back of the oval. The eyes are two small pearls that I dotted with
a black permanent marker...juxtapose them to give your bat a fun batty look!

Experiment with the wings until you get the shape that you like.
Once you've decided on one, just use it as a template for making several of
these cute 'lil bats...would look adorable hanging from a decorative tree branch.

Thanks for visiting McGill, Inc. Blog today!
