Monday Greetings! Shellye here today with a super quick and easy
way to whip up your own 3-D embellishments using McGill punches.
Here is a card hosting my ice cream embellishment.
You could also incorporate these into cupcake toppers, package accents, scrapbook
page embellishments and more!
For this I used the Dimensional Ice Cream Lever Punch and
"Sweetness" patterned papers by Authentique Paper.
- Punch two brown pieces for the cone and two blue pieces for the bottom ice cream scoop.
- Punch three pink pieces for the top ice cream scoop.
- Punch a brown and red piece for the cherry.
Apply a thin foam dot to brown cone and then top with matching cone.
Glue one of the blue scoops to the back of the bottom cone as shown above.
(Not shown) Glue one of the pink scoops directly to the top of the bottom
blue scoop. Next, attach a thick foam dot to the back of the second blue scoop and adhere.
Glue a pink scoop to the top of the blue scoop (as shown)
Attach the third pink scoop over the other pink scoop with a thin foam dot.
Using a glue pen, simply adhere the red cherry to the top of the brown cherry.
I used Fireworks "Lady Bug" Spritz by Tsukineko to give a little shimmer to the red cherry.
To the inside of the card, I layered the finished embellishment to the top of a
Scallop Punch die-cut.
For the top of the card, I used a circle template to create a window and then
trimmed the window with a chenille trim. That's it!
